Al-Qaeda: New Attack Planned Against US

FILE PHOTO Colin Powell Warns Of Bin Laden And Iraqi Partnership

According to reports, Osama Bin Laden is planning a major attack against the United States. The report goes on to say that the attack will "outdo by far" September 11, an Arab newspaper in London has reported.

Many papers in Italy have also published the report and all point to one source so far as coming from, a former senior Yemeni al-Qaeda operative.

The warning, on the front page of an Arabic newspaper published in London, Al-Quds Al-Arabi - and widely reported in the major Italian papers - quotes a person described as being "very close to al-Qaeda" in Yemen.

According to the report, bin Laden is himself closely following preparations for an attack against the US and aims to "change the face of world politics and economics".

Omar Bid Laden Seeks Asylum In Spain

Osama Bin Laden's son Omar Bin Laden has asked for asylum after flying to Spain. Omar Bin Laden has been denied a British residency request, and has demonstrated continuing loyalty to his father.

No word on the reason for the request has been announced at this time, but The ministry has 72 hours to make a decision, and the petitioner has a right of appeal.

It should be noted that Omar Bin Laden seeks to be an "ambassador for peace" between the Muslim world and the West. Though it seems many are skeptical and seem to be waiting for him to publicly renounce his father.

United States Expects New Bin Laden Video Prior To Election

According to an ABC exclusive report several top U.S. Officials are expecting the release of a new video from Bin Laden just prior to the election. Though they also say there is no current hard evidence of such a message as yet, they are expecting one.

The report also cautioned against such speculation, suggesting that bin Laden is most concerned about his own safety at the moment, and might increasingly fear for his life.

We shall see in the next few days if it happens.
